 I was thrilled when Renee, founder of the beautiful baby and girlswear brand Lolly May, reached out about custom print design. What began with just a few prints, turned into collection after collection. We have now worked together on 9 bespoke designs in total, with many still to come! From the very beginning, Renee had a clear and thoughtful vision for each print we worked on together and it was a true honour to bring those ideas to life. Every motif within the prints was hand-painted using watercolours, giving the artwork a soft, organic feel that perfectly complemented Lolly May’s style and helped make these prints truly one of a kind. What made this collaboration especially meaningful was the relationship we built during the process. We communicated regularly, often weekly and sometimes even daily, to ensure everything was on the right track. That open line of communication allowed us to work closely on every detail, from motifs, colour palettes and composition to scale and placement. It was a truly collaborative process, and it made the final results all the more rewarding. The custom prints ranged from whimsical florals to conversationals, including soft fruits and abstract tropicals. Seeing the finished garments come together with the custom prints was such a joy and the creative imagery is beyond adorable. There’s something magical about watching designs evolve from concept to cloth, especially when they’re so thoughtfully crafted. Working with Renee and the Lolly May team was a joy from start to finish. Her passion for her brand and dedication to detail made this project a special one, and I’m so proud of what we created together! What I find particularly exciting is that this is just 1/2 of what we have worked on together so far, with more designs dropping soon.
