I was so excited to have designed a custom watercolour print design for Beginning Boutique's new summer clothing collection! When Sarah, their CEO reached out and asked me if I would paint something special for them - I was delighted to accept. The print was inspired by abstract and detailed watercolour blooms that had a 'ditsy' feel. I wanted to make sure the print felt really visually interesting and had a nice range of motif inspiration, so I painted the piece on an A3 page. After painting the design, I began creating the repeat with the elements from the main painting. After the products were sampled, I was invited in to Beginning Boutique's Head Office, where I got to see the pieces, film some content and try on the new pieces. I love when my clients invite me in to see the final artwork on fabric! If you want to see some of the content we filmed, you can watch me talking through the print here, and a little overview of the project here. Tam and Ivy from Beginning Boutique flew to Fiji to photograph the print as a part of their new summer collection. The pictures are so amazing and make me feel proud to have been involved in this project. If you are interested in chatting about a custom print, please enquire today.
